A cute puppy, a service dog in training, a guide dog in training and a qualified guide dog all dressed up in their best evening attire encrusted with sparkling SWAROVSKI® CRYSTALS. SA Fashion Week April 2014

Amanda Fagri was invited by SA Fashion Week to showcase her jewellery range made with SWAROVSKI® CRYSTALS for the Sheer Glamour Show by Motions and TRESemme’.

Cutterier by Laz Yani, winner of the Renault New Talent Search, launched his Crystal Collection in collaboration with Swarovski® Crystals at SA Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014. This collection is available to purchase in the Edgars X SAFW Capsule Stores in Sandton City and Melrose Arch.

Inspired by reading brail for his Lufthansa 1st Best Spring/Summer 2014 Collection, his aim is to showcase the beauty of this form of reading which is designed for the blind. He has collaborated with leading crystal brand Swarovski and Crystal Forum for this collection, writing inspirational words in braille out of crystals. “I aim to use these clothes as a new language of confidence”

SA Fashion Week – New Talent Search [2014]

Created by Lucilla Booyzen of SA Fashion Week together with seasoned Trend Analyst and Convener, Dion Chang.

‘The New Point of View Challenge’ is the sought-after opportunity designers are looking for to utilize an expressive design process. This is for the Avant-garde, the street, the minimalist or the contemporary designer. This is for the aspiring designer or fashion house that is serious about the business of fashion.

Eligible designers will take part in a three phase creative process where designers will submit portfolio’s and from these finalists will be selected to present an inimitable 8 garment collection.
Innovation, Inspiration, Construction and Design will be major focal points for judges. The third phase will see finalists showcase a satellite collection as part of a 4 designer package at the SA Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 Season.

The 2013′s winning collection was Cutterier by Laz Yani – an Eastern Cape native and a student of pattern and fashion engineering at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and of the London International School of Fashion. Yani presented his collection themed the new language of confidence at the Spring/Summer 2014 showcase.

Ilze represented South Africa among 100 delegates from across the world at the Miss World International competition held in the Philippines during November 2014.

Miss Earth South Africa’s national costume received a gold medal for the third consecutive year. Ilze Saunders showcased this beautiful garment designed by Sonwabile Ndamase which depicts our nation with pride and dignity.

At this year’s Miss Earth SA Crystal Forum and Jenni Collections proudly sponsored all the Jewellery and gifts made with SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS for Miss Earth, all the lucky finalists, judges and VIP’s.

Swarovski’s “World Jewellery Facets”

Jenni Gault, supported by Crystal Forum’s Lisa Hager showed “The Circle of Life” Collection at Swarovski’s “World Jewellery Facets 2014” in Paris as one of the fifty designers invited to showcase their designs from around the world.

Jenni did South Africa proud and her name on the photoboard was appropriately positioned right between Jean-Paul Gaultier and Karl Largerfeld, icons in the Paris fashion world.Jenni’s contribution “The Circle of Life” hanging pride of place on the 1½ story ice glacier/sculpture in the center of the room, was beautifully lit against the slowly melting ice.
